The Wilhelm Wagenfeld table lamp WA 24 was designed and manufactured in 1924 by the product designer of the same name in the metal workshop of the Bauhaus in Weimar. Today the company TECNOLUMEN distributes a re-edition of this timeless lamp, which became famous as Bauhaus lamp or Wagenfeld lamp. The designer himself had granted the founder of TECNOLUMEN, Walter Schnepel, his personal licence for this. In this way, the Bauhaus lamp, which represents a design classic, lives on into the 21st century and enchants countless contemporary living spaces with its beautiful form and functionality. 

The table lamp was developed by the pioneer of industrial design Wilhelm Wagenfeld (1900 - 1990) under the direction of the Bauhaus teacher László Moholy-Nagy. In fact, it was initially handmade, although it was intended to look like an industrial product. The shape of the table lamp can be described as graceful. The stable round base is made of nickel-plated or black lacquered metal or clear glass. On a vertical rod there is a lampshade consisting of a hemispherical glass bell. The 36 cm high table lamp, which has a pull switch, is relatively small so that it can also be placed on side tables or windowsills. Its direct, diffuse light is produced by the use of a 57 W halogen bulb. However, the bulb should not have a clear glass bulb, as this will project shadows onto the opal glass.

Since the Wagenfeld table lamp WA 24, which won the German Federal "Gute Form" prize in 1982, was often tried to be copied, the TECNOLUMEN company decided to mark the products. All table lamps are consecutively numbered and bear the signs of Bauhaus and TECNOLUMEN. The company produces a total of four versions of this table lamp model and bases its production on authentic designs by Wagenfeld.
