One of the first examples of his genre is the S 64 cantilever chair by Thonet, which Marcel Breuer developed at the Bauhaus in the 1920s. The S 32 without armrests - in contrast to the S 64 with armrests - has been produced by Thonet since the early 1930s. Thonet chairs continue to impress with their simple form and elegant combination of curved tubular steel, wood and wickerwork. As the S 32N, Thonet also offers the cantilever chair with a plastic mesh covering.
