Junghans max bill Kleine Automatic
Faithful to the original 1961 Junghans silhouette, the max bill Kleine Automatic unites six decades of Bauhaus-rooted watch design with a contemporary self-winding movement — all within a refined 34 mm case that wears as elegantly today as it did at its inception.
Max Bill, architect and graduate of the legendary Bauhaus school, conceived this watch in 1961 as a direct expression of the principle that form follows function. The Kleine Automatic honours that legacy without compromise: a soft grey dial, slim stick indices, Arabic numerals of Bill's own design, and pencil-shaped hands in PVD gold — each element present for a reason and nothing else. The convex sapphire crystal adds a subtle architectural tension to the silhouette, while the engraved Max Bill signature on the four-screw case back underlines the watch's authorship. A heather-grey calfskin strap with a signed PVD gold-tone tang buckle completes a quietly authoritative whole.
