A mechanical chronograph of rare compositional clarity, the max bill Chronoscope 27/4008.02 unites Bauhaus design principles with Swiss-calibre precision in a polished 40 mm stainless steel and PVD case. Its white dial, framed by a day-and-date display and luminous Arabic numerals, distils the art of chronography to its purest visual form — for those who regard restraint as the highest form of sophistication.

Design Philosophy

Max Bill — artist, architect and alumnus of the Dessau Bauhaus — conceived his first dial for Junghans in 1961, and the ethos has remained unchanged ever since: every element must earn its place. The deliberate omission of a small-seconds subdial in the Chronoscope layout is not a compromise but a choice, one that produces a perfectly balanced symmetry between the 30-minute counter at twelve and the 12-hour counter at six. The grey leather strap with steel tang buckle complements the PVD-accented case with quiet authority. Made in Germany, the watch carries a two-year international manufacturer's warranty and arrives complete in the original Junghans presentation box.
