In 1961, Swiss architect, sculptor and Bauhaus alumnus Max Bill collaborated with Junghans to create a series of mechanical wristwatches whose design has remained essentially intact for over six decades. The hallmarks are immediately recognisable: a puristic dial bearing Max Bill's own specially drawn rounded numerals, a full minute track, and a domed convex sapphire crystal whose gentle curve reinforces the historical character of the timepiece. The gold-toned ion-plated stainless steel case is polished throughout and hypoallergenic — suitable even for sensitive skin. Gold-polished hands and Super-LumiNova-treated hour and minute hands ensure legibility in any light.
